Being a good friend is an important life skill, but it doesn't come naturally. Especially for young children, they want to play with friends but don’t always know how to treat them.

Knowing how to treat people well is part of learning how to become a good friend. It takes time for children to learn how to control their emotions, and some children will find it harder than others.

However, if you keep supporting and guiding them, your children will begin to understand how their behavior affects others and able to create some beautiful friendships.

You can help your children learn about friendship by reading stories. Our 5th booklet “Friendships Make Us Stronger” explains what it means to be a good friend. Friends have fun together, but mistakes happen, and they are a chance to learn and grow. We are stronger because of our friendships.
